Kid Genius offers more than just the opportunity to improve a child’s mathematical skills. Our program is not a special school for mathematics or its substitute. Rather, it is an innovative method based on the use of the old abacus, which has a positive effect on the development of thinking in children. In addition, it stimulates a number of other skills and abilities that are beneficial to a child’s cognitive development. Thus, the way a child absorbs information, prepares and creates certain achievements, recognizes details, performs certain actions and solves problems is improved.

What is mental arithmetic?
The program was created as a result of many years of work by psychologists, pedagogues and other experts in the field of education in cooperation with the prestigious Japanese Tomoe Soroban Institute in Tokyo. It is based on the use of the ancient aid for calculating abacus (算盤, Japanese soroban), the visualization and simulation of movements of which allows for extremely rapid calculation and development of cognitive abilities and skills of children in the early period of life. The program is based on the TBDP approach (Total Brain Development Program) and the VAK method (Visual – Auditory – Kinesthetic).
